Dima's primary research interests are at the intersection of sport, exercise and social psychology.
He is currently studying how biological and psychosocial factors influence well-being among middle-aged women. A specific emphasis of his research is on physical activity as a factor that helps withstand negative consequences of menopause, both on physical and mental health. He is also working in the area of healthy aging and have an interest in studying lifestyle consequences on functional limitation development.
In sport area he investigates aspects of doping behaviour and approaches in effective anti-doping measures. One such approach is based on compliance with anti-doping regulation if a regulator is perceived as legitimate. For this reason, Dima is involved in a collaborative research project to investigate perception of legitimacy of anti-doping regulations among athletes.
